Senior Professional Services Engineer(Actimize) @NICE Ltd.

Overview

NICE Actimize is seeking customer-focused Engineers to join its Managed Services team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The role involves configuring, optimizing, and supporting high-performance Actimize backend systems while working closely with clients in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Actimize related operations end-to-end across all client environments.
• Develop, configure, and manage software features according to design documents and enterprise software standards.
• Work collaboratively with Architects and Business Analysts for project delivery.
• Support customers by resolving functionality issues.
• Enhance existing solutions to meet client requirements using Actimize software and SQL.
• Interface with various R&D and PS Groups as well as Customer Support.
• Design full-stack automation for troubleshooting failures and propose monitoring services for Actimize solutions.
• Identify and resolve operational issues such as batch failures and application server issues.
• Automate daily tasks and processes for generating various reports.
• Maintain operational documentation, including incident tracking.
• Support client testing and tuning activities, and assist in solution upgrade activities.
• Manage incident, problem, and change management activities while ensuring adherence to SLAs.
• Provide regular operational status updates and communicate risks and issues proactively.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software development and/or production support engineering.
• Experience in web application development using JavaScript and related technologies.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
• Familiarity with public/private cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience in Unix/Linux environments and knowledge of SQL.
• Good understanding of fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git is a plus.
