Overview

Harvard University is seeking an experienced Senior Research Manager to join the Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE). This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in quantitative research, education policy, and data analysis who are passionate about improving education systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the analytical work across research projects, including developing research questions and study designs.
Write grant proposals and secure funding.
Manage data collection and analysis.
Produce reports and academic publications.
Supervise Research Analysts and support their professional development.
Provide technical guidance on research methods and statistical techniques.
Create project work plans and coordinate team activities.
Ensure high research standards and maintain integrity of research processes.
Contribute to analytical work, including advanced data analysis and statistical programming.
Communicate research insights to diverse audiences.

Requirements

Advanced degree (master’s level or higher) in Education, Public Policy, Economics, or Statistics, or five years of directly related professional experience.
At least two years of management experience leading a team.
A minimum of five years in quantitative research, including data management, analysis, and report writing.
Strong experience with Stata statistical software and large-scale education datasets.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and effectively communicate research findings.

Benefits

Salary: $100,000 – $105,000 annually, depending on experience.
