Overview
GAIN is seeking a Programme Lead to provide strategic, technical, and portfolio leadership for a multi-stakeholder consortium program focused on creating dignified and fulfilling work for Nigerian youth under 35 across agrifood value chains. The program prioritizes young women, persons with disabilities, and internally displaced persons.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for program design, evolution, and implementation in line with organizational strategy and donor expectations
- Define and drive program scope, objectives, and delivery model
- Identify and manage strategic risks, opportunities, and innovations
- Provide oversight to zonal coordination teams and partner organizations to ensure harmonized delivery
- Oversee project implementation and provide strategic guidance to partners and internal teams
- Lead safeguarding, risk management, and environmental compliance across the programme
- Represent GAIN within the consortium and engage government and state level stakeholders
- Lead and manage a high performing cross functional programme team
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Development Studies, Economics, Management or a related field
- Postgraduate training or certification in Project or Programme Management is an added advantage
- Extensive senior-level experience in multi-partner or consortium development programmes
- Strong experience managing donor-funded projects including grants, budgets, and compliance
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and deliver large-scale programmes
- Experience working with government, private sector, and donor agencies on multi-state or national programmes
