Senior Sales Engineer - Sao Paulo / LATAM @Amplitude

Overview

Amplitude is the leading AI analytics platform, helping over 4,700 customers build better products and digital experiences. As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will act as the technical quarterback for strategic opportunities in Latin America, partnering with Account Executives to win complex deals by translating product capabilities into business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluation phases for deals ranging from 100K to 1M+ ARR.
• Conduct deep discovery to map prospect workflows and align with Amplitude's offerings.
• Design and execute hands-on proof-of-concepts.
• Handle technical objections concerning data architecture, privacy, and integration.
• Present to C-level executives, translating technical capabilities into ROI narratives.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Customer Success to ensure alignment and smooth handoffs.
• Mentor junior team members in technical positioning and best practices.
• Contribute to competitive intelligence and develop reusable demo assets for the SE team.

Requirements

• 5+ years in software pre-sales or technical Account Management roles.
• Tri-Lingual preferred (English, Spanish, Portuguese); English and Spanish required.
• Comfortable with nuanced technical concepts and self-learning.
• Hands-on SQL experience: ability to write queries for data analysis.
• Proven track record of closing technical evaluations in enterprise deals.
• Experience presenting to both engineers and business stakeholders.

Strongly Preferred

• 2+ years working with product analytics or customer data platforms.
• Familiarity with event-based data models and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
• Previous experience in SaaS selling to Product, Growth, or Marketing teams.
• Understanding of regional data privacy implications for analytics tools.
