Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Partner Merchant Interface) @Affirm

Overview

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly. The Partner Merchant Interfaces - Integration team within Decisions Foundations is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on the APIs that Partners and Merchants use to integrate with Affirm.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Previous experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to translate business scenarios into solutions that integrate multiple software components.
• Experience navigating large codebases, debugging, and providing constructive feedback through code reviews.
• Proactive in seeking feedback for personal growth.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration in a global team.
• Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
