Senior Software Engineer, Identity @Attentive

Overview

The role involves joining Attentive’s Identity team, which oversees the first-party data collection platform that captures eCommerce and user behavior events. The position is remote, based in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Own data collection across the full stack, ensuring reliable first-party data collection at scale.
• Expand Cloudflare Workers infrastructure for enhanced server-side tracking and proxy endpoints.
• Build AI systems to improve data collection quality and automatically diagnose issues.
• Enhance the event ingestion pipeline for better reliability and observability.
• Lead technical direction and mentor teammates on a small, autonomous team.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience across multiple system layers.
• Experience in building and operating backend services in Java, Kotlin, or similar languages.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with an understanding of browser runtime and performance.
• Familiarity with edge compute or serverless runtimes like Cloudflare Workers.
• Proven project leadership from scoping to shipping.
• Strong debugging skills across service boundaries.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools in production.
• Willingness to work across different parts of the stack.
