Senior Software Engineer ll, Customer Experience @Forter

Overview

Forter is looking for a Senior II Software Engineer to join the CX Platform team, the engineering team powering Forter's entire Customer Experience group. This role focuses on backend engineering, AI infrastructure, and customer-facing products.

Key Responsibilities

• Own AI infrastructure for the Product Offering group, designing, building, and evolving the shared AI platform.
• Lead development of AI-driven capabilities from architecture through production deployment and monitoring.
• Set the technical direction for the CX backend with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
• Design resilient data-access patterns and maintain data pipelines.
• Mentor engineers in backend craft, AI engineering, and system design.
• Collaborate with product, design, and customer-facing teams to solve problems with high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building or integrating LLM-powered features into a production product.
• Proficiency in distributed systems and event-driven architectures, with familiarity with Kafka, Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, and Snowflake.
• Experience with cloud-native environments, especially AWS.
• Strong systems thinking skills for design, scale, resilience, and maintainability.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product managers and designers to create customer-facing products.
• Excellent communication skills for aligning technical decisions across teams.
• Proven ability to lead complex initiatives independently.

Location

Remote with a preference for candidates based in Israel, especially Tel Aviv.
