Senior Software Engineer - Prism - Security @Elastic

Overview

The role involves working with the Prism team at Elastic, which builds systems for turning raw data into reliable insights about users, hosts, and services in a customer's environment. The position focuses on developing features that require correctness and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own small-to-medium projects from technical design through production, including data modeling, background tasks, and APIs.
• Optimize features for performance and reliability at scale.
• Write high-quality TypeScript and React code, and Node.js services and APIs as needed.
• Build telemetry, tests, and safeguards for production systems.
• Review code, support teammates, and improve team practices.
• Collaborate with various teams across Elastic Security, Kibana, and Elasticsearch.

Requirements

• Several years of experience building and maintaining production software.
• Strong skills in TypeScript and JavaScript, particularly with React and Node.js.
• Experience leading projects from conception to deployment.
• Proven ability to use AI in development and system debugging.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and teams.
• Capable of working autonomously with effective communication in a distributed team.
