Senior Software Engineer - Prism - Security @Elastic

Overview

The role involves working with the Prism team to build systems that transform raw data into actionable insights for Elastic Security. The team focuses on delivering reliable and performant systems that enhance security for real users.

Key Responsibilities

• Own small-to-medium projects from technical design through production, including data modeling, background tasks, and APIs.
• Optimize features for scalability, ensuring performance and reliability in customer deployments.
• Write high-quality TypeScript and React code, with Node.js services and APIs as needed.
• Build telemetry, tests, and safeguards to ensure predictable system behavior in production.
• Review code, support teammates, and enhance team practices.
• Collaborate with teams across various Elastic products.

Requirements

• Several years of experience building and maintaining production software.
• Deep knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript, particularly with React and Node.js.
• Track record of leading projects from conception to deployment.
• Experience using AI to improve development and optimize code.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively in a distributed team environment.
