Overview

Algolia is a market leader in AI Search, empowering over 18,000 businesses with fast, predictive search experiences. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their search team, responsible for the cloud-based architecture of NeuralSearch, their AI search engine.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of Search and Indexing.
• Participate in out-of-hours on-call rota for Search operations.
• Ensure quality and soundness of the system.
• Share expertise on distributed systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-impact issues with other teams.

Requirements

• Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production.
• Experience with large datasets and high traffic.
• Commitment to high code quality, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
• Experience in a high-growth environment ($50-200M ARR range).

Nice to Have

• Experience in Go.
• Experience in Kubernetes.
• Sensitivity to Site Reliability Engineering.
