Senior Software Engineer, Understanding @Algolia

Overview

Algolia is a pioneer and market leader in AI Search, empowering over 18,000 businesses to deliver fast, predictive search experiences. This role involves enhancing core search capabilities within the Relevance Group, focusing on key features such as Query Suggestions and AI Re-Ranking.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of ranking and understanding features.
• Collaborate with a diverse team including front-end developers and machine learning specialists.
• Ensure the quality and soundness of the software pipelines.

Requirements

• Experience designing and operating production pipelines.
• Experience with large datasets and high traffic.
• Interest in solving ranking challenges.
• Experience building and maintaining API services.
• Commitment to high code quality, automated testing, and engineering best practices.
• Familiarity with major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Excellent spoken and written English skills.
