Overview

The role involves supporting the establishment of an internal audit function within the DACH region at Bitpanda. The company is focused on empowering individuals to build their financial future through a user-friendly investment platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of an audit strategy for the Group, focusing on optimizing processes within the DACH region.
• Assist in implementing audit initiatives across the DACH region, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve audit objectives.
• Contribute to refining the audit approach by collaborating with the first and second lines of defense and identifying potential risks.
• Participate in product development initiatives by providing insights and audit recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Degree in Law, Business Administration, or a comparable field, with certification or active pursuit of a relevant certification (e.g., CIA).
• 3-5 years of professional audit experience, ideally in the financial industry, with a detail-oriented approach.
• Good understanding of EU regulatory frameworks including MiCAR, MiFID II, PSD2, EMoney, AML, GDPR.
• Proficient in both German and English for effective communication and collaboration.
• Based in Germany or Austria (with 60% worktime in Vienna), demonstrating a proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative approach.
