Overview

Cockroach Labs is seeking a Senior Staff Sales Engineer focused on customers in Australia. In this role, you will provide technical expertise to qualify and close opportunities, guiding prospects through the unique capabilities of CockroachDB.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to introduce CockroachDB to potential customers.
• Lead product briefings, build proof-of-concepts (POCs), and run live product demos.
• Partner with product management, engineering, and support teams to address customer challenges.
• Identify and resolve customers' key technical objections to facilitate adoption.

Requirements

• 10-12+ years of experience in solution architecture and technical presentations.
• Experience developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of modern infrastructure and database technologies.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with partners, customers, and open-source users.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and events.
