Overview

Mixpanel is a leading product intelligence and analytics platform, seeking a Senior Strategic Finance Associate to join their Financial Planning and Analysis team. This role involves owning the financial planning process for a major domain and serving as a trusted advisor to functional leaders.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end financial planning process for a major domain (GTM, R&D, or G&A) from brief to delivery.
• Define the 6–12 month financial strategy, validate assumptions with business partners, and translate strategy into financial outcomes.
• Build business cases for major investments with clear assumptions and risk quantification.
• Design and improve planning processes and tools to enhance quality across teams.
• Lead cross-functional analyses with clear milestones and owners.
• Partner with budget owners to ensure data quality and alignment on assumptions.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of FP&A or Strategic Finance experience, ideally in high-growth SaaS.
• Proven ability to design planning processes and influence decisions across teams.
• Expert-level financial modeling skills, knowledgeable in SaaS unit economics and forecasting.
• Deep expertise across multiple planning domains (GTM, R&D, G&A).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills for distilling complex financial analysis.
• BS/BA in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.

Location

Must be located in San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. This is a hybrid role.
