Senior Technical Accountant @Coder

Overview

The Senior Technical Accountant at Coder manages complex accounting tasks, focusing on technical revenue accounting, equity accounting, and consolidated financial reporting. You will contribute to accounting conclusions, strengthen policies, and ensure rigor in complex areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the technical accounting analysis for complex revenue arrangements, including contract modifications and new product offerings.
• Research and document accounting positions for complex transactions and translate FASB ASC guidance into conclusions.
• Draft and maintain Coder’s revenue recognition policy memo and related playbook.
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting on complex revenue matters affecting period-end reporting.
• Advise cross-functional teams on accounting implications of business decisions.
• Prepare and review quarterly stock-based compensation accounting and financial statements.
• Own the preparation of quarterly reporting for the Board and investors.
• Evaluate accounting implications for operations across jurisdictions.
• Serve as the primary technical accounting partner for external auditors.
• Translate complex guidance into practical recommendations for leadership.
• Support SOX readiness by maintaining strong controls and clear documentation.
• Contribute to special projects and analysis as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Active CPA.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including hands-on technical work.
• Big Four or public accounting audit experience.
• In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 and stock-based compensation accounting (ASC 718).
• Experience preparing or reviewing consolidated financial statements.
• Experience with multinational corporate structures.
• Strong Excel and communication skills.
• Independence and ability to manage multiple priorities.
