Senior WEM AQM Prompt Engineer @Five9

Overview

Five9 is a leading provider of cloud contact center software, focusing on customer experience. The Senior WEM AQM Prompt Engineer will lead the AQM Prompt Engineering practice within Specialized Services, overseeing prompt engineering standards and mentoring the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead and subject matter authority for Five9 AQM Prompt Engineering.
• Define and own the prompt engineering methodology, standards, quality gates, and best practices.
• Build and maintain a reusable prompt library of validated evaluation templates.
• Mentor the WEM AQM Prompt Engineer team, conducting prompt reviews and providing feedback.
• Lead prompt engineering on complex AQM customer engagements from initial scoping to production deployment.
• Act as a senior escalation point for prompt performance issues in live deployments.
• Design and execute prompt validation frameworks for accuracy.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert in pre-sales engagements, demonstrating AQM capabilities.
• Provide structured feedback to the AQM product team based on field experience.
• Conduct internal training on AQM prompt engineering techniques.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Speech Analytics or related fields.
• Formal prompt engineering qualification or relevant portfolio of prompt design work.
• Strong understanding of LLM behavior and its impact on model outputs.
• Experience in Quality Management design and building evaluation frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• BA/BS or equivalent experience; advanced degree is a plus.

Location

This role is fully remote for candidates residing outside the 30-mile radius of Five9 offices, while candidates within that radius will work in a hybrid manner requiring 3 days in office (T, W, TH).
