Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, resilient, message-driven services using Java 25 & Micronaut.
• Write clean code with 80% unit test coverage and perform end-to-end and integration testing.
• Optimise payment modules/services for reliability, maintainability, performance, and scalability.
• Drive innovation by adopting the latest backend development trends and technologies.
• Act as a technical mentor for junior developers.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in software development with Java 17+ using modern frameworks like Micronaut/Spring Boot.
• Understanding of relational and non-relational databases, with preference for Postgres and MongoDB.
• Experience in creating and maintaining publicly available REST APIs with a focus on performance optimisation and scalability.
• Knowledge of message-oriented middleware, preferably Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or ZeroMQ.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, AWS, and Kubernetes is ideal.
