Software Engineer - Platform Metal | Ireland | Remote @Grafana Labs

Overview

Grafana Labs is the company behind Grafana Cloud, a fully managed observability platform. This role is for a Software Engineer focusing on the Platform Metal team, responsible for building and provisioning resources including storage, networking, and Kubernetes clusters.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the physical "Metal" environment from bare metal to Kubernetes.
• Oversee cluster networking components such as load balancing, NAT, DNS, and cross-cluster communication.
• Manage scheduling and autoscaling.
• Maintain Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules for common resources.
• Collaborate with Grafana Cloud application teams to identify their needs.

Requirements

• Experience with distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Go, Python, and Shell programming languages.
• Datacenter experience.
• Participation in an on-call rotation.
• Experience operating and managing workloads on Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Terraform and/or Crossplane.

Location
