Overview

Grafana Labs is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Platform Metal team. This fully remote role focuses on building and provisioning essential resources in a high-performance environment as part of an innovative and collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the physical "Metal" environment from bare metal to Kubernetes.
• Handle cluster networking components including load balancing, NAT, DNS, and cross-cluster communication.
• Manage scheduling and autoscaling operations.
• Maintain Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules for common CSP resources.
• Collaborate with Grafana Cloud application teams to understand their needs and ensure proper investment in capabilities.

Requirements

• Experience working in a remote-first company with strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with distributed systems.
• Ability to approach development holistically, managing the full life cycle of code.
• Experience with datacenter operations and participation in an on-call rotation.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, and Shell.
