Overview
The role involves working as a Specialist Software Engineer at NiCE, focusing on designing and building scalable data solutions using technologies like Snowflake and AWS. The position emphasizes technical expertise and problem-solving abilities within data engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and solutions utilizing Snowflake.
- Build and support Data Warehouse and Data Lake architectures, including data modeling and integration.
- Investigate customer-reported and production data issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive timely resolution.
- Develop and troubleshoot cloud-native data solutions across AWS and Snowflake environments.
- Implement software engineering best practices including CI/CD, source control, automated testing, and deployments.
- Identify opportunities for automation and improve operational efficiency through reusable frameworks.
- Leverage Generative AI and Agentic AI capabilities to enhance data engineering workflows and productivity.
- Contribute to the scalability and performance optimization of data platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Expertise in SQL, ETL/ELT processes, Data Warehousing, and Data Lake concepts.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, IAM, EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with Kafka, Flink, or similar stream-processing technologies.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
