Overview

The role involves working as a Senior Network DevOps Engineer at Five9, a leading provider of cloud contact center software. The position is remote and focuses on operating within a 24/7 Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment, maintaining IP networking components in a production setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and oversee scalable CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and zero-downtime deployment of configurations.
• Champion the "Network-as-Code" paradigm, establish enterprise-wide GitOps workflows.
• Drive strategic vision for network automation, design reusable code frameworks and Playbooks.
• Design and optimize software-defined networks (SDN) in cloud environments.
• Serve as a technical authority for complex network issues.
• Design and implement advanced monitoring and alerting-as-code platforms.
• Partner with teams to build resilient and secure network infrastructure.
• Establish coding standards and write Infrastructure-as-Code using Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Python, and Bash.
• Lead the optimization of container networking solutions and automation of security policies.
• Engineer automated network validation suites to ensure network health.
• Drive the adoption of code-based infrastructure definitions and dynamic documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years in Network Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles with a focus on large-scale network design and automation.
• Expertise in network automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
• Experience with software-defined networks and overlays (VXLAN, OVN, Project Calico).
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes networking designs.
• Experience with enterprise edge, routing, and security fabrics.
• Understanding of API-driven application delivery and load balancing.
• Deep Linux and networking expertise.
• Mastery of core routing protocols and experience with CI/CD platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities and technical leadership experience.
• Background in telecommunications is advantageous.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
