Overview

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff AI Engineer for its remote team, dedicated to building observability tools that help users understand and respond to their systems. This role will support the skunkworks initiative focused on integrating AI with data analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver AI features to optimize access to large datasets.
• Conduct rapid experimentation and iteration through prototyping and user feedback.
• Collaborate with the team to create AI-driven product features.
• Utilize AI tools to enhance product functionality and workflows.
• Communicate effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Strong engineering skills with experience in production-grade software systems.
• Hands-on experience with AI technologies and frameworks.
• Ability to iterate quickly with feedback.
• Proven initiative and the capacity to navigate ambiguity.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with LLMs and context engineering.
• Track record of delivering production-ready software.
• Exposure to cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with observability tools for system behavior troubleshooting.
