Overview

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Engineer (AI & Automation) to develop AI agent infrastructure and automation platforms for their Marketing Operations. This remote role is open to candidates in Canada, excluding residents of Quebec.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development of multi-agent AI systems, including architecture and implementation.
• Build modular, composable agentic systems using orchestration frameworks.
• Develop reusable agentic skills and implement observability and feedback loops.
• Establish governance and compliance standards for AI workflows.
• Build servers, APIs, and microservices integrating AI models with business systems.
• Architect data flows for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Partner with teams to scope automation problems and design effective solutions.
• Build systems designed for self-service with comprehensive documentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, focusing on backend development or systems integration.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with LLMs/AI in production workflows.
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/Node.js.
• Experience with LLM frameworks and multi-agent systems.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and serverless/containerized services.
• Effective communicator with the ability to explain complex systems to various stakeholders.
