Overview

The role of Staff Software Engineer at Coder focuses on shaping AI governance for developer tooling, working within the AI Governance team to build and maintain enterprise-grade components of Coder's AI governance stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build product features improving remote development in self-hosted environments.
• Create and enhance popular open source projects integrating with VS Code, JetBrains, and other developer tools.
• Promote best practices to team members and external contributors.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams, as well as partners like JetBrains, for key product integrations.
• Document the design, implementation, and operation of systems for team knowledge sharing.
• Support Coder’s enterprise user base alongside the Customer Success team.
• Utilize cutting-edge AI technologies to enhance developer experiences.
• Rapidly iterate from prototype to implementation in an adaptive team environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of full-stack experience, including 1+ year(s) writing Go.
• Proficiency in building distributed systems in Go.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Self-motivated with a creative and analytical mindset.
