Staff Systems Engineer, Oracle EBS, Accounting @Pinterest

Overview

This role focuses on building and scaling enterprise finance systems at Pinterest, specifically involving Oracle EBS and finance technology. The position is integral to collaborating with various teams to support Pinterest's growth through reliable ERP solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for Oracle EBS Financials, overseeing General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and related processes.
• Lead solution design and continuous improvement of accounting processes, prioritizing data accuracy and audit readiness.
• Apply AI to enhance systems analysis and operational efficiency within finance-critical environments.
• Support integrations between Oracle EBS and external applications that affect accounting operations.
• Work with stakeholders to define scalable solutions across Oracle EBS and connected platforms.
• Execute the Oracle ERP roadmap, aligning technology investments with strategic priorities.
• Improve finance processes by simplifying workflows and strengthening controls.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC and SOX across the ERP ecosystem.
• Collaborate with Managed Service Partners and internal teams to promote service delivery improvements.
• Support broader ERP modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business Systems, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience with Oracle EBS in large enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Oracle EBS Financials and hands-on knowledge of accounting control frameworks.
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials is a plus.
• Strong understanding of finance processes and ERP controls.
• Experience in leading configuration and enhancements within Oracle EBS.
• Knowledge of SOX controls and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
