The successful candidate will join one of South Africa’s leading mining operations situated approximately 29 km from Kathu, adjacent to the N14 in the Southern Kalahari.

Key Responsibilities

The appointed candidate will be responsible for conducting mechanical maintenance operations and ensuring optimal plant availability, reliability, productivity, and safety.

Core responsibilities include:

Supervising mechanical maintenance activities
Managing contractors and maintenance teams
Budget management and cost control
Leading operational teams and workforce supervision
Driving continuous improvement initiatives

Ensuring SHERQ compliance and workplace safety standards
Maintaining high professional work ethics
Monitoring plant and equipment performance
Ensuring operational reliability and production efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

N3 National Certificate in Engineering Studies
Engineering Technical Trade Test Certificate in one of the following:
- Boilermaker
- Fitter
- Electrician
Management or ARM Supervisory Certificate (NQF Level 4 – 150 Credits) (Recommended)

Experience Required

Candidates should have:

Minimum 4 years experience in a mining or maintenance operational environment
Minimum 3 years supervisory, team leadership, or project leadership experience
