IMANI Center for Policy and Education is now accepting applications for the 12th edition of the Students and Young Professionals African Liberty Academy (SYPALA), a four-day residential seminar focused on developing the next generation of African policy thinkers and leaders. SYPALA equips young Africans with the skills and knowledge to advance economic resilience and inclusive governance.
This program is open to undergraduate students and recent graduates from any African country. Applicants must submit their full name, institution, current level of study, age, and contact information.
Selected participants will receive a full scholarship covering accommodation, sessions, and faculty access. The program includes lectures, group discussions, simulation exercises, and networking opportunities with thought leaders and experts.
Applications are determined by the strength of an essay on a given topic. A 200-word summary is also required. Essays must be in English, not exceed 1200 words, and be original. All submissions must be made via email. Early submission is encouraged.
