Overview

The Federal Government has opened the application portal for the 2026 Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme, inviting qualified training centres to participate as accredited trainers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide training according to the guidelines set by the programme.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
• Maintain proper documentation and quality standards in training delivery.
• Utilize NSQ-based curricula in training programmes.
• Demonstrate evidence of past training activities and certifications.

Requirements

• Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
• For Vocational Enterprise Institutions (VEIs): Must have at least one qualified instructor per trade and adequate physical infrastructure.
• For Skill Training Centres (STCs): Similar requirements to VEIs, with at least one qualified instructor or senior artisan.
• For Mastercraft Persons (MCPs): CAC registration or valid National Identification Number (NIN).

Benefits

Accredited trainers will receive a monthly payment of ₦45,000 per student.
