Overview
The Global Methane Hub (GMH) is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Lead to oversee its global evidence and learning ecosystem. This is a full-time, globally remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of GMH’s integrated MEL strategy, frameworks, KPIs, and measurement approaches.
- Oversee the organisation’s full MEL ecosystem, ensuring quantitative and qualitative evidence informs strategy and communications.
- Establish co-benefit modelling frameworks and oversee portfolio- and organisation-level evaluations.
- Design and maintain GMH’s knowledge management system, integrating various data sources for organizational learning.
- Guide GMH’s learning agenda and foster a culture of curiosity and constructive challenge.
- Build and steward GMH’s impact narrative, partnering with Communications teams to translate insights into compelling storytelling.
- Manage and coach the MEL team, setting strategic priorities and promoting cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MEL, development, social sciences, statistics, or related fields).
- Minimum 8+ years progressive MEL experience, with at least 5 years in senior MEL leadership roles.
- Proven track record designing MEL systems for complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Experience in climate, environmental, philanthropy, or international development sectors.
- Deep expertise in quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
- Experience integrating AI, automation, and predictive analytics into MEL systems.
- Prior team management experience.
- Strong knowledge management and systems-thinking capabilities.
- Proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau), advanced Excel/Google Sheets, and project management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic thinking skills.
- Commitment to equity-driven approaches and experience working across global time zones.
Benefits
The salary range for U.S.-based candidates is $188,696 – $235,870, with geographic differentials applied based on location. Approximately 10% international travel is expected.
Location
Global (Headquartered in Santiago, Chile, but the team spans six continents and this is a remote position).
