Overview
The International Crisis Group is seeking an experienced Analyst for UN Advocacy and Research to support its advocacy efforts with United Nations institutions and contribute to UN-related research and publications.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring developments in the UN Security Council, General Assembly, and other relevant forums.
- Contributing to research, briefings, and publications.
- Representing Crisis Group at UN meetings and high-level forums.
- Supporting initiatives for peacebuilding, conflict prevention, sanctions implementation, and peacekeeping.
- Acting as a point of contact for tracking UN policy developments.
- Coordinating with the Head of UN Affairs to establish networks with UN member states.
- Supporting targeted advocacy plans and organizing activities around key UN events.
- Delivering oral briefings on policy positions.
- Representing Crisis Group's policy positions in media engagements.
- Assisting with fundraising activities with UN accredited permanent missions.
Requirements
- At least three years of relevant experience in NGOs, government, or international organizations.
- Experience in policy advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
- Knowledge of international affairs and the UN system.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
- Strong English skills; proficiency in additional UN languages is beneficial.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is advantageous.
- Eligibility to work in the United States; no sponsorship available.
Benefits
The expected gross annual salary ranges from $68,000 to $75,000, determined based on skills and experience.
