Overview
Theirworld is seeking a Consultant – Youth-Led Research Specialist for a remote, project-based consultancy focused on designing and implementing a youth-led consultation on peace, security, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a youth-led consultation framework.
- Conduct capacity-building sessions for youth and task team members.
- Oversee data collection and thematic analysis of qualitative data.
- Monitor progress, troubleshoot challenges, and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Ensure youth leadership and meaningful participation throughout the process.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in youth participation and youth-led research methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience leading participatory, qualitative research projects with young people, especially in peacebuilding, conflict, or education contexts.
- Strong facilitation skills and experience in capacity building.
- Familiarity with safeguarding policies and ethical considerations in youth engagement.
- Experience working with marginalized or vulnerable youth populations.
- Ability to translate research findings into policy or programmatic recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- (Preferred) Advanced degree in social sciences, peace studies, international development, or related fields.
- (Preferred) Experience in international development or with NGOs on peace and security issues.
- (Preferred) Knowledge of qualitative research tools and data analysis software.
Benefits
