Overview

The Trees Specialist will lead the design and scaling of agroforestry initiatives aimed at improving farmer outcomes through tree-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan operational trials focused on seedling production, planting techniques, and survival rates.
• Oversee program implementation across regions, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Lead behavior change initiatives to improve farmer practices and adoption of tree planting.
• Collaborate with internal teams across market access, business innovation, and program units.
• Develop and deliver training programs for field teams.

Requirements

• At least three years of relevant professional experience, including team leadership.
• University degree in agriculture, forestry, development studies, environmental science, or related field.
• Experience in designing and scaling agroforestry or agronomy trials.
• Strong knowledge of nursery management, climate-smart agriculture, and pest control.
• Strong data analysis, monitoring, and reporting skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and strategic execution skills.
