    Overview

    The United Nations has opened applications for an exciting internship opportunity focused on digital transformation and sustainable development.

    This internship—titled “Digitalization and Private Sector Engagement for Sustainability”—is part of the UN Resident Coordinator System, supporting ongoing efforts by the UN Country Team in North Macedonia to foster innovation and enhance private sector contributions to sustainability.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support digitalization initiatives including e-governance, AI literacy, and startup ecosystems.
    • Engage with private sector stakeholders for the 2026 Private Sector Sustainability Forum.
    • Organize workshops, public consultations, and forums on technology and sustainability.
    • Conduct data analysis on digitalization trends and sustainability contributions.
    • Additional duties as assigned based on project needs.

    Requirements

    • Enrolled in or completed a graduate program (Master’s or higher) or final year of a bachelor’s degree.
    • Relevant fields: ICT, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy.
    • Fluency in English and Macedonian; knowledge of Albanian is an asset.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills.
    • Experience in event organization or research is an advantage.
