    Overview

    UNESCO is recruiting an Associate Project Officer – Digital Games, offered as a 12-month Service Contract position.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead initiatives related to digital games for peace education.
    • Conceptualise and design digital educational games focused on peacebuilding, well-being, and sustainable development.
    • Collaborate with external developers for game design and implementation.
    • Support the development of digital courses and integrate game-based tools into curricula.
    • Design and manage research studies assessing the impact of game-based learning.
    • Engage with the EdTech ecosystem to build partnerships.

    Requirements

    • Advanced university degree in Digital Gaming, Instructional Design, Computer Science, Interactive Media, Learning Technology, or related fields.
    • Minimum two years of experience in designing or managing digital educational products and game-based learning tools.
    • Proven involvement in digital game design and development.
    • Strong understanding of gamification and learning design principles.
    • Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
    • Proficiency in English; working knowledge of Hindi is preferred.

    Benefits

    • Annual starting salary of approximately INR 3,286,361.
    • 30 days annual leave.
    • Medical insurance reimbursement (up to 5% of base salary).
    • Pension contributions (up to 10% of base salary).
