The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is inviting applications for the position of Evaluation Quality Assessment Consultant (Home-Based). This consultancy offers experienced evaluation professionals the opportunity to contribute to improving the quality and effectiveness of global development programs while working remotely.

The consultancy is offered through the Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) of UNFPA. The office is responsible for ensuring that evaluations conducted across the organization meet high quality standards and provide useful insights for decision-making, accountability, and organizational learning.
As part of the Evaluation Quality Assurance and Assessment (EQA) system, consultants will review completed evaluation reports and assess their quality based on the EQA Grid (2025) and UN evaluation standards.
These evaluations play a critical role in strengthening development programs and ensuring that interventions effectively address issues such as reproductive health, gender equality, and population dynamics.
Selected consultants will work under the supervision of the IEO EQA Focal Point and will carry out several key tasks.

They will also participate in training sessions to ensure consistent understanding of the EQA framework and evaluation standards.
Consultants will review assigned evaluation reports and supporting documentation in English, French, Portuguese, or Spanish. Responsibilities include:
