    Overview

    Urgent Action Fund Asia & Pacific (UAF A&P) is seeking a Visual Communications Facilitator to lead its visual storytelling and creative communications strategy. This full-time remote role focuses on shaping a consistent visual identity and aligning it with the organization’s feminist values.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain a cohesive visual language across digital, print, and social platforms.
    • Lead art direction for flagship projects including annual reports, programmatic knowledge pieces, website design, and social media campaigns.
    • Manage collaborations with external artists, illustrators, and storytellers.
    • Liaise with writers, artists, and programme teams to implement communications strategies.
    • Translate complex feminist and human rights themes into accessible, compelling visual narratives.
    • Oversee creative projects from initial brief to final delivery, coordinating timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
    • Refine internal documentation, including style guides and process playbooks.
    • Pilot new communications formats such as Annual Learning Reports, Microsites, Videos, and Podcasts.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in visual storytelling, art direction, illustration, or graphic design.
    • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills across multiple stakeholders.
    • Experience designing for social media and print materials.
    • Fluency in Figma, Adobe Suite, and collaborative tools (Notion, Miro).
    • Experience with multilingual design and accessible communications.
    • Deep commitment to feminist movements and human rights advocacy.
    • Must identify as women, trans, or non-binary.
    • Must be based in the Pacific or South, Southeast, or East Asia.
    • Preference for candidates from underrepresented countries in the region.

    Benefits

    • Full-time position (40 hours per week).
    • Annual salary: USD 30,000–37,000, depending on experience.
    • Additional benefits include superannuation and medical insurance.
