    Location: Abuja, Nigeria

    About the Project

    The Nigeria Peace Actors and Initiatives in Data (NPAID) project is a PeaceTech initiative by CORN West Africa. It uses data and digital tools to map and analyse peacebuilding efforts across Nigeria, helping strengthen policy, advocacy, and stability through evidence-based insights.

    Position Summary

    The Communications Officer will lead the project’s communication and visibility strategy, transforming research and data into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences including policymakers, media, donors, and civil society.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement communication and visibility strategies
    • Translate research/data into engaging content
    • Manage social media platforms and digital presence
    • Produce stories, reports, videos, and multimedia content
    • Handle media relations (press releases, interviews, briefings)
    • Support project events and public engagement activities
    • Ensure compliance with donor communication guidelines
    • Track engagement metrics and improve outreach strategies

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, or related field
    • Minimum 3 years experience in communications or PR
    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
    • Experience with digital tools and social media analytics
    • Multimedia skills (photography/video) are an advantage
    • Experience in development, research, or peacebuilding is a plus
