    Role Overview

    The Database Manager will oversee the strategic and operational management of Videre’s information systems, particularly those used for secure investigative data management.

    The role includes maintaining existing systems, developing improved data infrastructure, and supporting investigative teams to use databases and analysis tools effectively.

    Location and Employment Terms

    The organization prefers candidates based in one of the following locations:

    • Nairobi, Kenya
    • Kampala, Uganda
    • Bangkok, Thailand

    However, remote applicants may also be considered.

    Additional employment details:

    • Travel: Approximately 20 days per year
    • Annual Leave: Minimum of 28 days

    Compensation

    Salary is location-dependent and calculated using international salary scales.

    • Equivalent to £65,000 UK salary
    • Adjusted using International Civil Service Commission (ICSC) salary scales
    • Paid in local currency depending on the employee’s location

    Key Responsibilities

    The Database Manager will play a central role in managing secure data systems and supporting investigative teams.

    Systems Management and Optimization

    Responsibilities include:

    • Managing Videre’s secure information management systems

    Required Skills and Experience
