Overview

Applications are now open for the Women in Agriculture Leadership Program Fellowship under the Africa Australia Partnership for Climate Responsive Agriculture. This initiative is designed to strengthen the leadership capacity, confidence, and influence of African women scientists in agriculture and climate resilience.

Eligibility

African women scientists with at least seven years of professional experience in agriculture, agrifood systems, gender, or climate-related research.
Minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as agriculture, agricultural economics, agricultural extension, natural resources, food science and nutrition, or climate science.
Must be nationals of the target countries and currently residing in Africa.
Strong motivation and potential to influence gender-responsive and climate-resilient research.
Proficiency in English or French.

Benefits

Selected Fellows will participate in a structured mentoring program, receive training in leadership and negotiation, gender integration in climate adaptation, science communication, and research publishing, and connect with the broader AWARD network and alumni community.
