Overview This grant opportunity offers critical financial support to organizations led by persons with disabilities across Sub-Saharan Africa. Eligible organizations can advocate for rights, influence policies, and strengthen disability inclusion efforts. Eligibility Headquartered and primarily operating in a Sub-Saharan African country targeted by DRF. Must be a registered organization of persons with disabilities (OPD) or operate under a fiscal sponsor that is a registered OPD. Propose a project aligned with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Benefits Small Grants: Up to USD 60,000 over two years for local or sub-national OPDs. Mid-Level Coalition Grants: Between USD 30,000 and USD 50,000 per year for collaborative initiatives involving three or more organizations. National Coalition Grants: USD 40,000 to USD 60,000 per year, with total potential funding of up to USD 120,000 over two years for larger national-level partnerships. How to Apply Applications begin with a Letter of Interest (LOI) submission. LOI forms are available in multiple languages: English, French, Portuguese, and Indonesian. The final full application is invited only for selected organizations. Eligibility Applicants must form a triangular partnership involving both African and European stakeholders. Eligible partnerships must include: At least three local cultural and/or civil society partners. At least three full EUNIC members (minimum of two EUNIC members is acceptable in countries without a EUNIC cluster). Participation of an EU Delegation. Benefits Selected projects can receive funding of up to EUR 50,000. Projects must demonstrate clear social impact and long-term sustainability. Eligibility Early-career African researchers aged 35 or below. Must hold a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field with strong quantitative skills. Applicants must demonstrate experience in data analysis and a clear interest in education policy research. Must be affiliated with a government, research, or higher education institution. Proficiency in English is required. Qualified female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Benefits $25,000 research grant.
