    The bank is currently recruiting a Graduate Intern: Marketing and Communication to join its team in Sandton, South Africa.

    This internship provides an entry point for recent graduates who want to learn how communication and marketing strategies support financial services, particularly in the Advice and Investments business area.

    Internship Overview

    The Graduate Intern: Marketing and Communication role is designed for a recent graduate with an interest in marketing, communication, and financial services.

    The successful candidate will support the Marketing and Communication function within the Advice and Investments division, helping develop and coordinate communication initiatives that improve customer understanding and support business priorities.

    This position is structured as a 12-month fixed-term learnership agreement, giving the intern practical exposure to the professional environment while building core communication and marketing skills.

    The role follows a hybrid working model, combining office and remote work.

    Key Responsibilities

    The intern will contribute to several areas within the marketing and communication team.

    Communication Support

    The role includes supporting internal and external communication initiatives such as:

    • Assisting with the development of communication plans aligned with Advice and Investments initiatives
    • Supporting internal messaging for advisors and frontline teams
    • Coordinating communication materials and helping gather stakeholder input
    • Assisting with approval processes and message alignment across teams

    Marketing Support

    The intern will also support marketing activities across the Advice and Investments portfolio.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Assisting with the rollout of marketing campaigns and initiatives
    • Supporting content development through copywriting and research
    • Maintaining campaign schedules and content calendars
    • Coordinating communication tasks across multiple teams

    Administrative and Project Support

    In addition to communication work, the intern will help manage project-related tasks, including:

    • Tracking communication requests, timelines, and deliverables
    • Preparing reports, meeting notes, and project updates
    • Supporting procurement documentation and vendor management processes

    Skills and Attributes

    The position is suited to candidates who demonstrate strong communication abilities and an eagerness to learn.

    Eligibility and Qualifications

    Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, such as:

    • Communication or Corporate Communication
    • Media Studies
    • Public Relations
    • Journalism
    • Or a related field

    Candidates must also be currently unemployed in order to qualify for the learnership programme.
