The David McClure Public Interest Journalism Fellowship offers £15,000 annually to support independent, non-fiction writers and journalists producing rigorously researched public interest journalism that holds power to account.
Open to journalists, authors, and non-fiction writers worldwide, with no restrictions on age, nationality, background, or career stage. Merit and public value are the deciding factors. Applications require a 1,500-word pitch detailing the investigation's synopsis, aims, public interest relevance, research undertaken, progress, why funding is essential, and how the £15,000 will be used. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to an online interview.
