Overview

The Account Protection Specialist role at Brex focuses on protecting customers and their businesses while ensuring efficient internal communication regarding risk management. The specialist will join a team dedicated to combating fraud, financial crime, and account takeover risks.

Key Responsibilities

Access systems and document actions taken to service customers efficiently and accurately.
Determine appropriate actions to protect Brex and customer assets; partner with management on complex cases.
Communicate professionally with customers and other parties to obtain necessary information for assessing potential fraud.
Support cross-functional teams to ensure proper action is taken on high-risk accounts.
Speak with fraud victims using empathetic communication to safeguard customers and Brex.
Review the validity of customer documentation.
Handle escalated calls from cross-functional teams or team leads.
Collaborate across teams to resolve complex issues.
Contribute to projects aimed at reducing fraud-related complaints.
Adhere to regulatory, legal, and internal policy requirements.
Extract, analyze, and present operational data clearly.
Work effectively across email, phone, and chat support channels.

Requirements

Experience in customer experience, operations, and risk management.
Experience in fraud prevention, account protection, or financial-crime operations.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and sound judgment.
Proactive approach and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Availability to work assigned shifts between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. PT.

Benefits

The expected pay range for this role is $28.00–$30.00 CAD per hour, with potential for overtime pay and other forms of compensation, including equity depending on the position.

Location

Remote, with the requirement to work during specified hours in the Pacific Time zone.
