The Africa CDC Mental Health Leadership and Advocacy Course is an intensive short course designed to cultivate leaders who can strengthen mental health systems across Africa. It is part of the larger, three-year Mental Health Leadership Programme (MHLP).
The course is open to public health professionals, mental health practitioners, mental health enthusiasts, persons with lived experience, and innovators implementing projects to strengthen mental health systems in Africa. Africa CDC will sponsor selected candidates.
Selected candidates will receive sponsorship covering the course. Self-sponsored participants will pay a tuition fee of USD $1,000, which includes registration fees and meals. Accommodation, flights, and other personal expenses are not covered.
Interested applicants must complete the official registration form, providing personal details, professional experience, motivation, and impact statements. Applicants must also confirm availability and submit a copy of their valid passport.
