    Overview

    The Africa Policy Research Institute (APRI) is offering an opportunity for an EU Fellow to strengthen its work on Africa–Europe relations. This role is designed for a policy professional with strong analytical, research, and stakeholder engagement skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead high-quality research and analysis on Europe’s evolving policies toward Africa, including producing policy briefs and reports.
    • Engage with EU institutions, policymakers, and think tanks as APRI’s representative in Brussels.
    • Lead the creation of a practical toolkit for Africa–EU partnerships.
    • Provide insights from EU engagement to internal teams and support fundraising efforts.

    Requirements

    • 5–7 years of relevant professional experience in EU institutions, think tanks, academia, or policy advisory roles.
    • Strong understanding of EU policymaking processes and Africa–Europe relations.
    • Fluency in English and French; knowledge of German or other languages is an advantage.
    • Must be based in Brussels with a valid Belgian work permit.

    Benefits

    • Salary: €58,000 – €64,000 gross per year.
    • Contract Duration: 2 years.
    • Work Arrangement: Home office with strong engagement in Brussels.
    • Working Time: Full-time.
