This opportunity offers you the chance to work as an Africa Programme Officer with the Energy Transition Fund, contributing to equitable and sustainable energy transition strategies across Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Developing and managing a comprehensive grantmaking portfolio across Nigeria and Senegal.
Identifying and assessing potential grantees, managing relationships, and supporting them throughout the grant lifecycle.
Maintaining a strong understanding of energy policy and dynamics within Nigeria and the broader region.
Building networks with stakeholders and providing strategic insights for informed grantmaking decisions.
Collaborating with philanthropic partners to enhance strategic alignment and insights on funding opportunities.
Working closely with internal teams to deliver organisational objectives and improve operational initiatives.

Requirements

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
A minimum of five years of professional experience in climate, energy policy, economics, or finance.
Strong analytical thinking and strategic insight.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Experience in philanthropy and knowledge of energy transition issues is advantageous.
