• Completion of five years of university-level education (Norwegian equivalent)
• At least two years (120 ECTS) at master’s level

• Proven ability to undertake independent research

Applicants whose education was completed outside the EU/EEA or in non-English programmes must demonstrate English proficiency through recognised tests such as TOEFL or IELTS.

• Academic performance, including master’s thesis quality
• Overall academic background and qualifications
• Feasibility and clarity of the proposed project
