Applications are currently open for the Community Health Champions Program, an initiative by KASHAM Community Development Initiative aimed at promoting healthier and more informed communities across Northwest Nigeria.
The program is designed to empower passionate young individuals with practical knowledge and skills in key areas such as community health literacy, preventive healthcare, community engagement, health communication, and digital reporting and documentation. Through a combination of virtual training and hands-on community engagement activities, selected participants will be equipped to serve as advocates for improved health outcomes within their communities.
The initiative targets young people who are willing to learn, lead, and contribute meaningfully to community development. Participants will gain valuable experience in public health practices and community-driven interventions, helping to strengthen grassroots health systems.
The program will be implemented across six states in Northwest Nigeria: Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Katsina, Sokoto, and Kebbi. Selected candidates from these states will participate in structured virtual training sessions, followed by community-based activities aimed at driving health awareness and behavioral change.
Interested applicants are encouraged to complete the application form carefully and accurately. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for the next stage of the selection process.
This program presents a unique opportunity for young people to build capacity, expand their knowledge, and play an active role in creating healthier and stronger communities.
Application Deadline: 15th June, 2026
KASHAM Community Development Initiative remains committed to fostering youth-driven solutions that improve health outcomes and promote sustainable community development across the region.
