The Ashinaga Foundation is a globally recognized non-profit organization founded in Japan, dedicated to supporting young people who have lost one or both parents or whose families are affected by disability-related financial hardship.
Through education, leadership development, and emotional support, the organisation empowers scholars to build independent and impactful futures.
Through its international programmes, including the Ashinaga Africa Initiative, Ashinaga provides scholarships and structured leadership development opportunities to students across the world, particularly from sub-Saharan Africa.
Ashinaga Foundation is inviting applications for its Fall–Winter 2026–27 Internship Cycle.
The programme offers university students, graduate students, and recent graduates the opportunity to gain practical experience in international development, education support, leadership training, and non-profit operations.
Interns will work in multicultural teams, contribute to real-world education projects, and support scholars studying internationally.
The Student Relations Team connects Ashinaga with scholars studying in Japan and supports their academic, social, and leadership development journey.
Interns in this team support scholar engagement, administrative coordination, and leadership programme delivery.
This team focuses on preparing scholars and graduates for careers, internships, and long-term impact across Africa and beyond.
Interns support career mapping, opportunity research, and graduate engagement.
This team supports the identification and preparation of students from sub-Saharan Africa for higher education opportunities abroad.
Interns contribute to recruitment operations, research, and student support systems.
