    The incumbent will report to the Information Management Leader.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide timely and accurate analysis, challenge, and insightful review of performance results (budgets, forecast, actuals).
    • Manage costs effectively, controlling variances and implementing corrective actions.
    • Ensure correct cost allocations and implement activity costing systems.

    • Prepare annual budgets and long-term plans, coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
    • Apply zero-based budgeting principles and methodologies.
    • Build strong working relationships with key business stakeholders.

    • Monitor, review, and follow up on control and reporting issues, ensuring policy and legislative compliance.
    • Enable weekly and monthly cost reviews and management reports.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost control, and savings initiatives.

    • Support data integrity for financial information and reporting.
    • Oversee bonus and incentive calculations, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

    • Understand contractual obligations impacting the business area and ensure adherence.
    • Contribute to the Finance and Information Management team strategy development and achievement.

    Requirements

    • BCom Degree or National Diploma in Management Accounting.
    • Minimum of three years finance or management accounting experience, preferably within the mining industry.

    • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office Suite).
    • Experience with ERP and reporting systems such as SAP and Hyperion Essbase is advantageous.

    • Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
    • Valid code D8 driver’s license.
    • Medical certificate of fitness to work in a mining environment.

    Package

    The package will be in accordance with Modikwa’s compensation schedule.

    • The successful candidate will be appointed conditionally upon passing a medical fitness assessment in line with the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
